Jaylen Henderson, an 18-year-old Black male from Montgomery, was killed on the morning of January 30, 2017, in a shooting on the 1800 block of Cairnbrook Drive. According to Montgomery police, officers and fire medics were called there at about 8:20 a.m. on a report of a person shot, and when they arrived they found Henderson with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and investigators quickly opened a homicide case as family and friends were left to absorb the sudden loss.
