Joshua Rogers, a 22-year-old Black/African American male from Montgomery, was killed on January 9, 2017, in a shooting that police later said unfolded during a robbery on Northern Boulevard. By the time officers pieced the case together, the picture they described was not of a random street killing, but of a crime gone violently wrong.
