In the spring of 2016, a dispute over an engagement ring tragically escalated into a fatal encounter in Fairfield, Alabama. Adarius Elon Williams, a 28-year-old man, was shot and killed on April 8, 2016, in the parking lot of a Citgo gas station on Milstead Road.
