In the Trinity Gardens neighborhood of Mobile, Alabama, on the evening of March 15, 2016, a life was tragically cut short. Carenzo Rogers, an 18-year-old Black male, was discovered lying in a vacant lot at the intersection of Butler Street and Warsaw Avenue. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Mobile Fire-Rescue personnel. His death marked the tenth homicide in the city for that year.
