In the summer of 2015, a night in Phenix City, Alabama, was shattered by violence that ended the life of 22-year-old Edric Bernard Robinson. A Black male from Columbus, Georgia, Robinson was found fatally shot in the chest on June 27, 2015. The incident occurred in the 200 block of 17th Avenue South around 10:20 p.m. Despite the belief that there were witnesses at the scene, law enforcement officials reported that no one came forward with information in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.
