On October 10, 2014, David Patrick Kyles, a 29-year-old male from the Mobile, Alabama area, was driving and on the phone with his girlfriend when he mentioned he was being pulled over by law enforcement. This seemingly routine traffic stop would be his last known communication. Later, Kyles' body was discovered, having been shot multiple times and left handcuffed near the intersection of Theodore Dawes Road and Interstate 10. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
