In the spring of 2009, a life was cut short in a hail of gunfire in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of April 7th, 26-year-old Aaron Cortez Freeman, a male, was involved in a gunfight in the Druid Hills neighborhood. The violent altercation took place on the 1600 block of 21st Place North, ending with Freeman being fatally shot.
