In the Del Rey neighborhood of Los Angeles, on a Saturday evening, June 10, 2000, the life of Jessie Paul Cervantes, a 26-year-old Latino man, was tragically cut short. Cervantes was at 5080 Slauson Avenue when he was fatally wounded by a gunshot.
According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, the shooting led to his death that same day. The Los Angeles Police Department was the agency that handled the investigation into the homicide.
