In the winter of 2018, the life of former Idaho State Representative Brandon Hixon, a 36-year-old Caucasian male, came to a tragic end in his Caldwell, Idaho home. On the morning of January 9th, a family member discovered Hixon deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The Canyon County Coroner swiftly ruled his death a suicide. Hixon, once a rising figure in the Idaho Republican Party, had seen his personal and political life unravel in the months leading up to his death.
