Kwamir Wise, a 19-year-old Black / African American male from Wilmington, Delaware, was caught in gunfire on the night of September 4, 2024, in the 700 block of East 22nd Street. Wilmington police said officers found him suffering from gunshot wounds at about 10:28 p.m. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, but the injuries proved fatal, and authorities later announced that he had died from the shooting.
