Jehovah Jirah Clark, a 20-year-old Black / African American male, was killed in Wilmington, Delaware, after a late-night shooting on July 4, 2023. The violence unfolded at about 11:49 p.m. in the 700 block of East 10th Street, turning the final minutes of Independence Day into the beginning of a homicide investigation. When Wilmington police arrived, they found Clark suffering from gunshot wounds, and he had already succumbed to his injuries.
