On September 13, 2020, at approximately 11:13 p.m., Wilmington Police responded to a shooting incident in the 1700 block of Tulip Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 34-year-old Calvin Peterson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Wilmington Police Department identified Peterson as the victim the following day.
