On the evening of December 31, 2019, Cornelius Wright, a 37-year-old African American male from Middletown, Delaware, was fatally shot in New Castle County. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the Ashton Condominiums on Willings Way. Responding officers from the New Castle County Police Department discovered Wright inside a parked vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
