In the early hours of November 6, 2022, the life of a young Black/African American woman, 20-year-old Daetiauna Kellogg, was tragically cut short by gun violence in Omaha, Nebraska. Just before 2:30 a.m., Omaha police responded to a shooting near 49th Avenue and Miami Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Kellogg with severe injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in extremely critical condition and later succumbed to her injuries.
