In the early hours of December 18, 2021, a shooting in Phoenix claimed the life of 17-year-old Durran Azad Azeez. The male teenager was fatally wounded in an incident that occurred near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Dunlap.
Phoenix police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area just after 1:00 a.m. Around the same time, Azeez was transported to a local hospital by private means. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
