On the evening of February 6, 2023, Tyeshon King, a 35-year-old Black / African American male from Bridgeport, Connecticut, was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m. in a parking lot situated in the 600 block of Trumbull Avenue. Bridgeport police were drawn to the scene after the city's ShotSpotter system detected gunfire and witnesses reported the shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered King suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
