On September 1, 2024, a shooting incident occurred outside the Tropicana Bar & Lounge in northwestern Miami-Dade County, Florida. During this incident, a man identified as Travis Sentell Sims, aged 45, was shot and declared dead at the scene. The crime scene was located near the boundary of the Gladeview and West Little River neighborhoods, specifically at Northwest 79 Street and 10 Court.
