Mark Dominic Duell, aged 55, passed away on August 31, 2024, in Paw Paw, Michigan, not Largo, FL. He was born on December 4, 1968, in Paw Paw, Michigan.
Mark graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1987 and subsequently served in the United States Marine Corps. He married Kimberly Duell (Hardy) in 1999, and although they divorced in 2022, they had two daughters, Madison Duell (Josh Swinehart) and Meghan Duell, who were extremely important to him.
Mark was a devoted father, often coaching his daughters' softball teams and dedicating much of his free time to supporting them.
Mark was known for his selfless, loving, and handy nature. He enjoyed various projects, including car repairs, home improvements, and cooking. He was passionate about Michigan State sports and NASCAR races. In his free time, Mark loved to golf and fish on Ackley Lake, where he grew up.
Mark is survived by his two daughters, his sisters Debra Duell, Doris Duell, and Denise Hopkins (Steve Hopkins), and his brothers Jon Duell and Jim Duell. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Cathleen Duell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Paw Paw. Military honors will be conducted after the funeral at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan, beginning at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the SPCA of West Michigan or the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Mark’s name.
