In the early morning hours of July 25, 2024, violence shattered the predawn quiet of a Southeast Washington, D.C. neighborhood. Responding to reports of a shooting at approximately 1:41 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers from the Seventh District arrived at the 3900 block of 1st Street, Southeast, to a grim discovery.
