On a Thursday evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 24-year-old Amar Sidney Harris was tragically cut short. On September 21, 2023, at approximately 6:09 p.m., Harris was shot and killed in the 1600 block of 22nd Street, Southeast. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch.
