In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in Northwest Washington, D.C., the life of 35-year-old Tierra Corbett was tragically cut short. On May 16, 2023, at approximately 1:26 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1400 block of Fairmont Street NW. Upon arrival, they discovered Ms. Corbett, a Black/African American female, suffering from a gunshot wound to her head. Despite the immediate response from D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
