On the evening of February 14, 2024, violence broke across the 700 block of Davenport Street in Americus, Georgia, where police were sent at about 7:00 p.m. to a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds and began emergency aid until medics reached the scene.
