In the Peoplestown neighborhood of Atlanta, a life was tragically cut short on the evening of February 10, 2024. That night, 16-year-old Marcellius “Fendi” Satrone Stokes, a Black male student at Maynard Jackson High School, was found with a gunshot wound. The call came in to police around 11 p.m., leading them to the 900 block of Linam Avenue where the shooting had taken place. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, the teenager succumbed to his injuries.
