Anthony Treneal Mitchell, a 40-year-old man from Albany, Georgia, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 27, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 3:48 a.m. in the 300 block of Lockett Station Road. Officers from the Albany Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and found Mitchell at the scene with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
