In the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 23, 2024, a violent home invasion in Quitman, Georgia, tragically cut short the life of 29-year-old Willie Giddens Jr. The male victim was shot and killed inside his residence located in the 900 block of South Lee Street. The Quitman Police Department received a call for assistance at approximately 1:30 a.m. and, upon arriving at the scene, requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to lead the homicide investigation.
