In the Summerhill neighborhood of Atlanta, on the morning of January 15, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace at the intersection of Hank Aaron Drive and Ormond Street. When the violence subsided, 46-year-old DaJuan Jackson, a Black male, was found with a fatal gunshot wound. Another man was also injured in the incident and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office later confirmed Jackson's identity.
