In the crisp evening air of November 18, 2023, the life of 20-year-old Kealan Tre Hardeman was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on Brentwood Avenue in Macon, Georgia. A ShotSpotter alert drew Bibb County sheriff's deputies to the 1400 block of the street just after 6 p.m., where they discovered Hardeman with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Atrium Health Navicent, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at 7:02 p.m.
