Charles “CJ” Brown, a 15-year-old male, was spending Memorial Day weekend at a sleepover inside a Cobb County home near Hurt Road Park when the night turned fatal. Early on May 28, 2023, he was shot in the face while in the basement, and the shock of it rippled through his family almost immediately.
