In the late evening hours of February 26, 2023, the quiet of Lynntown Road in Collins, Georgia, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Inside his home, James Eric Williamson, a 46-year-old Caucasian male, was fatally shot. The Tattnall County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting the shooting at approximately 10:54 p.m. When deputies arrived at the residence, they found Williamson deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
