In the winter of 2023, a life was tragically cut short in Decatur, Georgia. Eric Demetrius McCoy, a 40-year-old Black man, was shot and killed on January 20th. The violent encounter unfolded at a Shell gas station located on Flat Shoals Road, where an argument escalated into a fatal shooting.
