In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Atlanta, the life of 30-year-old Oumar B. Mbodj, a man of Senegalese nationality, was tragically cut short. On January 12, 2023, Mbodj was fatally shot in what has been described as a targeted attack at the Villages at Carver apartment complex on Moury Avenue in the southwest of the city. He was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle but succumbed to his gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
