On July 3, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Belleville, Illinois, resulting in the death of 10-year-old Brandon E. Scott. Brandon was shot while inside his residence in the 1800 block of Roosevelt Avenue in unincorporated Belleville. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene at approximately 9:56 PM and found Brandon, who was subsequently taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
