In August of 2024, a tragic incident claimed the life of 4-year-old Corione Butts Jr. in Indianapolis. The young boy, a male, was at a home in the 3600 block of North Dearborn Street when he discovered a gun and accidentally shot himself. Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 12:30 p.m. on August 18th and transported the critically injured child to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, Corione succumbed to his injuries a few days later.
