On the evening of March 3, 2024, police officers in Fort Wayne, Indiana, responded to reports of a shooting in the 5000 block of Roberta Drive. Upon arriving at the scene shortly after 9:20 p.m., first responders discovered David Lee Norris, a 64-year-old Black male, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
