On the morning of July 22, 2023, a sense of unease settled over a normally quiet neighborhood in the Camby area of Indianapolis. Inside a home in the 8600 block of Orchard Grove Lane, a resident made a devastating discovery. Erica Pedroza, a 35-year-old Hispanic female, was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency services were called to the scene around 7:30 a.m., but despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead.
