In the late evening hours of Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the life of Juanita Lynette Watkins, a 52-year-old female, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. The incident occurred in the Algonquin neighborhood, where police were dispatched to the 2300 block of West Gaulbert Avenue around 10:20 p.m. following a ShotSpotter notification. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Ms. Watkins had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
