In the early morning hours of a Friday in May, the quiet of a Fern Creek neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to a call around 1 a.m., Louisville Metro Police officers arrived at the 9100 block of Beulah Church Road to a grim scene.
