In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 8, 2024, Donald Trim, a 40-year-old male, was with a group of his family members outside the AM Mart convenience store located at 2400 Highland Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At approximately 3:30 a.m., an unknown individual began shooting into the group. Trim was the only person struck by the gunfire and tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
