On April 24, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred at an apartment complex located at 1011 W. 18th Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The incident took place early in the morning, around 1:18 a.m., when officers responded to a call at the apartment complex. Upon arrival, they found Craig Declouiet, a 48-year-old man, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.
