In the quiet community of Westwego, Louisiana, the life of 19-year-old Tyler Williams, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on the evening of Monday, January 22, 2024. A recent graduate and a beloved student-athlete, Williams was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 900 block of West Krugal Lane in an unincorporated area of Westwego. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at approximately 7:30 p.m., where Williams was pronounced dead.
