In the late hours of New Year's night in New Iberia, Louisiana, Thaddeus Davis, a 44-year-old man, was walking home from his grandmother's house. As he made his way along his usual route on Lombard Street at approximately 11:45 p.m., tragedy struck when he was shot multiple times.
