In the small city of New Roads, Louisiana, the life of 26-year-old Joshua Porche was cut short on the night of October 8, 2023. Just before midnight, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet on Delta Place Road, prompting a 911 call about a man lying on the ground in front of a house.
