On the morning of February 27, 2023, Kidada Stewert, a 48-year-old Black / African American female, was fatally shot in the front yard of her Las Vegas home. The incident occurred around 9:07 a.m. in the 9800 block of Venus Lake Court, near South Fort Apache Road and West Mountains Edge Way. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots and discovered Stewert lying in her yard. She was transported to University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
