On July 19, 2024, at approximately 11:51 a.m., Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a residence in the 10400 block of Dayton-Lebanon Pike in Washington Township, near Dayton, Ohio. Upon arrival, they found 28-year-old Brian Mackie with a gunshot wound inside the home. Despite life-saving efforts, Mackie was pronounced dead at the scene.
