On April 8, 2024, at approximately 10:12 a.m., Cincinnati police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of Reading Road in Avondale. Upon arrival, officers found 33-year-old Marcus Jamison, the manager of a White Castle restaurant, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
