On the evening of March 9, 2024, a dispute would ultimately leave a young Black man named Rasheed Lindsey fighting for his life. That night, the 19-year-old was shot multiple times in the 5000 block of Pembridge Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. At approximately 8:26 p.m., police officers responded to a report of a shooting and found Lindsey in the 3000 block of Spaulding Avenue, suffering from critical gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.
