On the evening of Thursday, February 22, 2024, a call reporting a self-inflicted gunshot wound brought deputies from the Cecil County Sheriff's Office to a home in the unit block of Tarkka Lane in North East, Maryland. Inside the residence, they discovered the body of 34-year-old Brittany Morgan Ling. Her husband, 36-year-old Christopher Ling, was also found at the scene.
