In the late evening of August 30, 2023, tragedy struck in a Baltimore neighborhood. Thomas Bekele, a 26-year-old Black male, was found with multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds. The incident occurred at approximately 10:26 p.m. in the 500 block of Wellesley Street. Officers from the Baltimore Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and discovered the unresponsive victim.
