In the early hours of June 29, 2023, the life of 35-year-old Deveraun Rawlings, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Just after midnight, at approximately 12:09 a.m., he was shot in the 2600 block of Maisel Street in the Westport neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. The location was near Florence Cummings Park and Westport Elementary School.
