On the night of June 15, 2023, tragedy struck in a Baltimore neighborhood, leaving a family to mourn the loss of a young man. Anthony Cox, a 27-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in the 100 block of McPhail Street. The discovery was made at approximately 10:24 p.m. when police, responding to a ShotSpotter alert, found him unresponsive at the scene. He had sustained a gunshot wound to his head and was pronounced deceased by medics who arrived shortly after.
